Changing

We are constantly moving, changing, shifting from one shape into another. Morphing ourselves and the world around us to fit the image which we wish. It is a constant flow. Rarely do we take time to be still, stagnant, the opposite of movement, immobile, incapable of movement. Yet, stillness does not mean we are still. Our cells, bodies and minds vibrates at frequencies …

Day 3 in Bali – Welcome to Ubud

It has been just over two months since my return from Bali, and am still surprised and proud of myself for going solo. I am going to finish the Bali series soon, so that I can focus on other things as well. In just under a week, I’ll be flying out again to do some volunteering (read about it here.) Truth is, even though time moves fast, I still think a lot about my time in Bali a lot – even if some of the memories tries to fade.

Day 2 in Bali – Red and white monkeys dancing

Looking back, the freedom to travel and do what I wanted was great. Just as I stated in my previous post, I wasn’t restrained to another person’s opinion.

Like the previous day, I arranged my day at the start of the day. After a day of exploring little ol’ Seminyak, I thought it was about time to explore another town on the island of Bali. After spending some time researching, I decided it was time to head further south of island, farther than Kuta.

Day 1 in Bali – Seminyak

It’s nearly been a week since I returned from Bali, and boy do I miss it. I miss the people, the friends I made, and most importantly, the food. Following this post, I’ll add a few more to a the series of A Day in Bali, where I’ll point out my daily itinerary, and end the series with a guide to Bali for future visitors.

9 reason why I wanted a solo trip

This time next week, I’ll be waking up in a land far, far away. I would have endured a 14-hour flight to start a short adventure on my first solo trip. And you know what, I am excited, no, ecstatic. I’m buzzing and counting down the days. Although to be honest, my to do list is looking extremely loose. I’ve prepared the most important things.

Dear young me…

Dear Young me,

You’re now 19 and decided to go far away from everyone that you know and start a new leaf. Don’t worry; the friends who are meant to stay around will stay, others, well, it’s best to say that life gets in the way. Right now, I know it’s scary, you’re completely alone for the first time in your life, but that was why you did it, wasn’t it?

You wanted to conquer your fear head on – it pays off.
