In the unfortunate world of the handmaids, women have lost about every right in book, from the right to be educated & read to freedom of choice. In the dystopian world of the 1985 novel of the same name, women have limited choices; obedience or death. At times, everything felt archaic.

Summer is heating up, both in temperature and in schedule. In TV land there’s a big list of potential big hits and returning hits, this summer.  Orange is the new black’s latest season was released earlier this month. Later this month Power and Preacher will be on TV screens. So, yes, summer is sure to heat up our TV (and laptop) screens.

So spring is coming to an end, if it’s not already finished, and summer is being welcomed. For us Brits, it means we have 5% more chance of not having rain. And occasionally there’ll be some of sun, here and there. To be honest, this week’s weather has been great, and the focus says that this bank holiday weekend is going to great as well.

9 reason why I wanted a solo trip

This time next week, I’ll be waking up in a land far, far away. I would have endured a 14-hour flight to start a short adventure on my first solo trip. And you know what, I am excited, no, ecstatic. I’m buzzing and counting down the days. Although to be honest, my to do list is looking extremely loose. I’ve prepared the most important things.

6 Lessons learned in 6 month in first job out of Uni

My last post, I wrote about being (one of) the only black dudes in my office. This week I wanna focus on something else. About a week ago, it was my six months mark.

I can’t believe how fast time is moving. When I was travelling on my year out of uni, I practically had no sense of time. Time did not constrain me. I booked flight when I wanted, and returned when I wanted (as long as it didn’t make my bank account bleed too much). Now that I am working, I think about time almost all the time.
